So scooterman, tell us how many wires and how did you wire it?

the listing just said simple 2 wire hookup?

YUP. I used a splice crimp connector to get 48/36V power Keyed and spliced a negative also. I just pulled the dash over off, took my VOM and measured from key power to every wire around there until I found the negative 48/36v.

Got it working... This is a $6.00 eBay volt meter...

Had to go to the final batteries in the series to pull the 12Volts

Power/Black when to the accessory position on the key switch

Power/Red went to the final battery positive of the 36 Volt in series

This powered up the meter with he 12v requirement

Then the white/voltage feed wire went to the final battery positive of the 36 Volt in series also

Hmmmm just realized I ran it seperate... I probably could have ran it to the power/red
wire as well

What I initially did wrong was hooked it up to the first 12 volt batteries in the series rather than the last and it was only reading 12 volts. When I tried hooking to the send 12v the meter then read 24v and that is when I realized my error.

Regardless it works, message me if you have any questions.
