Default Bought a new cart today...

I purchased a new cart today. It is a Garia 2+2. It drives like a dream and it is titled and licensed in the state of florida. It has a AC motor and plenty of torque and top end. Could not pass up the new cart at a extremely steep discount. The dealer has had it 11 months and even offered to put new Trojan T875 batteries in it. The only problem with the cart is that there is nothing I don't have to fix or rebuild and it comes with a bumper to bumper 3 yr warranty. I guess I will be looking for a Club Car DS to fix up so I won't be bored !!

Hopefully the Admin will make a Street Legal LSV area here on BGW one day.

Take care all !!

I did not mention which dealer I purchased it at because they were not a forum sponsor.

I was in a Club Car dealer last week getting parts for my DS and they had one on display. Sure looks nice but they said it was about 3-4x more than a new CC. They hadn't sold any either. I didn't ask how much that was though I assumed in the mid-20s then? If so that's outrageous for a golf cart.

LOL... I would have not bought at mid $20s for sure. It was only a few thousand more than the Club Cars they had on the floor. That is why I could not pass up.

The dealer mentioned above has one that looks like the one you have on their site and its listed at $23k if I remember correctly. They must have really discounted it. Good deal.

I assume there aren't any lift kits available for it? (to make like your old cart)

The Garia is the wife's buggy. The new cart even has a champagne bucket as well as a refrigerator. I will save the lift kits for the CC DS rebuild in my near future.

It was a digital speedo. It will do 45 mph but is regulated to 25mph. It uses a Curtis programmable controller. Soon as warranty is up if my wife wants to I was thinking of programming it to 35 mph. I may end up buying the same controller and sending it in the folks that can load a program in it. I told my wife that this is hers and she makes the decisions. The nice thing is that she drives and I drink !! Love the refrigerator !!

BTW - That cart is so smooth it is scary. Only a slight whining from the AC motor can be heard. I will have to hurry to get a project CC IQ cart soon, miss working on my old CC series cart...
