96 club cart, problem
96 gas, club cart, when I started on working on this cart, wouldn't run at all, they said they had put two small of belt on it, so when it try's to start its pushing the cart, it has fuel spiting out of carb, flames coming from the carb about three inches long when your trying to start it, you half to put your hand over carb, to even think about getting it started, once it starts it runs great but as soon you let off gas and let sit maybe 10 mins it wont start again, with out putting hand over carb, I've clean carb multiple times, even tried a new carb it done the same thing was told to adjust valves, I've tried that, its very frustrating wondering if it could of possibly jumped time, but it runs great once started, so Im needing some advice, when possible, thanks.

Re: 96 club cart, problem
On a stock cart you need to have the complete air cleaner and box on. And make sure everthing is tight and sealed. Running an open carb will explain whats going on with yours. No the fe 290 will not jump time unless it breaks some teeth on the crank.
