Have Club Car DS. Should I upgrade to Precedent?
Hello. I am at a crossroads! I currently have a 2003 Club Car DS. It runs pretty good and has recent 8v trogans. It needs head/tail lamps, a rear seat and voltage reducer. Trying to decide if I should do the work to this cart or upgrade to a Precedent before spending a lot of money on upgrades, which we all know is inevitable! I purchased the cart for $1000 and have only added a windshield, rear view mirror, and I replaced the speed sensor after great advice from the forum, particularly Tahoe. Finally ready to jump into the upgrades. I realize looking for anyone to talk someone out of anything on this forum is a stretch! haha. Interested in the forum's input. Thank you for your time.

The DS model cart is a great model spanning 20 years with little change. Your 03 has the same IQ drive system as a Precedent. The question is do you like the looks of the Precedent better? If yes go for it.

I'm lucky my wife tolerates the DS. Trading on a Precedent much more obvious than incremental "under the hood upgrades" on the DS!

IMO the DS is a better ride than the Precedent, I would upgrade the DS.

It's like Scottyb said, everything about your electronics are the same as a Precedent. It all comes down to which one you prefer the looks of.

Thinking about the same thing. My DS does just fine for me. But I like the looks of the Precedent. I'm curious to see what other opinions are out there.....

I prefer the looks of the DS. Precedent isn't really an upgrade. It just depends on which one u prefer look wise...

I would keep the DS , i love the look of mine ( it reminds me of a older 4 door box chevy ) and not a fan of the Precedent look
