Default 08.5 Precedent Key Switch constant power

So not quite sure what happened but my cart has constant power at the key switch, so the key is useless. With the key off the cart will still go forward or reverse, could it be something as simple as replacing the key switch? I have checked both terminals on the back of the key switch and both are getting full voltage with the key off.

Do You have a 16v->12v reducer connected directly to the batteries?

If You do and You are not using the pack negative for the 16v->12v reducer, You will have that problem on a Precedent.

no there is no reducer on the cart at all. I have a seperate aux battery for all 12 volt accessories.

Pull both wires off the switch and test it with a meter. That way you can rule out if the switch is bad or not. If the switch tests fine, there must be a wiring issue somewhere causing the other side to get power when switched off. But first thing is to test the switch before chasing down a potential harness issue.

Ok both wires (green and blue) are getting full voltage when removed from the key switch so I would assume that would rule out the key switch. Not sure what else to look at as it was working fine a couple weeks ago

Seems like a problem with the harness somewhere. Need to get a wiring diagram and a 6 pack and go hunting. I think the blue wire is the switched one so it must be getting voltage from the other end somewhere.

Look at your Solenoid and make sure the positive on the small post is not touching the big post, they are pretty close on that Solenoid.

Once again you figure it out. It must have adjusted going over a bump or something but this is what fixed it. Thanks again
