Default 99 DS brake lights

I have a 99 DS, i have standard lights with the dash switch. What do I need to make the brake lights light up. I see 3 wires at brake harness at lights, red, black, white. Look under seat where harness goes and only see black and red. Do the whites just end in the loom right after the connector at the lights? If that is the case then the pedal switch would just get connected to the whites???

So for those that are wondering. The white and red were tied together. Separated them and the white wire is the actual brake light. Now just waiting on the switch.

That's an aftermarket light kit, so it wont apply to a factory system.
