Lightbulb Little bit of info from EMP

I sent EMP an email yesterday asking about speed possible with their motor reworks.
Maybe this will answer some questions for everyone, or maybe everyone already knew this!

"The PDS redesign with a 400 amp control programmed to work with our
motor will allow our redesigned motor to run 25 mph. (2 passenger,
standard golf car, flat ground)

Without a control change the PDS motor redesign will run 19 mph with
or without the speed chip. The speed chip will probably get you to 19
without motor redesign and has no effect on our motor redesign speed.
In other words if you have the speed chip you probably don't need the
redesign with a stock PDS control.

Thank you for contacting Electrical Motor Products, Inc.,

Scrunner,

What speed chip do you need to get 19 mph with a stock PDS system? I have a friend who has a PDS cart and he is complaining about speed. Any idea what chip he should use to achieve the 19 mph speed?

OK I will let him know. Are there more than 1 type? Anything specific he should be asking for or getting to achieve the 19 mph? Thanks

Its the "freedom" or "speed" chip. There is also medium hill and steep hill variety. Different levels of motor braking...
