How do I check my batteries
I have a 2004 EZGO TXT 36 volt. It is really running sluggish lately. Goes really slow up hills even after a new charge. It has Pacer batteries. How do if the batteries are bad?? I would liek to eb able to check them before i go out adn spend $800. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: How do I check my batteries
there is usually a date code stamped into the base of the NEG post... a simple digital voltmeter is the most basic but a simple hydrometer will actually tell the true story...

Re: How do I check my batteries
Buy a hydrometer, it tells you what is really going on inside. Other than that measure the string voltage under a load. Connect meter across the batteries and go for a drive.
