Recommendation? DCS motor replacement
Got a DCS cart (non-lifted) has a DCX400 controller, heavy duty solenoid, 4ga welding wire through out. We had a D&D 170-505-0001 but the setup proved too much for this motor and literally melted down from overheating. So what motor do people recommend to get a consistent 20-22 mph and not blow up?
Thanks, Troy |

Re: Recommendation? DCS motor replacement
I'm running a Plum Quick Bandit with a DCX400 with 22" tires and run 30+. Mine is a PDS but after the controller replacement I don't think it matters and if I'm wrong, I am sure someone will let me know.

I've got a coupe of questions for you on how you have your controller configured. Can you tell me what field mapping # the controller is running and if you have the Turbo setting on or off? Thanks, Troy |

Re: Recommendation? DCS motor replacement
CJ2, to be honest, I don't know. When I bought the controller, I had the stock motor. I think he set it to PDS #6 but I don't think that is the field map. Turbo is on, Max speed, Max current, 0 brake. I would go hook up the laptop but the access port is behind the sol and I have to pull it to plug in. When I get a few minutes I'll pull it apart and let you know.
