My gps died after I tested my cart before the install. It was 15mph before, and my guess is 20mph by the seat of my pants....guessing. DRASTIC improvement though, and the torque.....WHEW!!!! It feels ALOT more than 30%! I think I've read around 50% increase on here, and it sure feels like it. I was loading the cart into the back of my truck with curved ramps and I didn't get the back wheels all the way up into the truck when I let off the pedal....well, it started to go back down and my reaction was to hit the gas......BIG mistake!!!! The front end came up about 2-3 feet in the air so I had to slam onto the brakes. I learned a valuable lesson....keep a little pressure on the brake while easing the gas pedal all the way up until the tires touch the bed wall by the cab! You will be SOOOOO happy after you convert it!!!! |

Ha, yeah. The owner and salesman came outside and asked if I needed to change my pants...I said if you have a spare I might need them!

Re: Converting 36 volt ezgo to 48

Re: Converting 36 volt ezgo to 48
No. I've got it set at 400amp since I have the stock motor, plus it has a 1.5sec delay before 100% the way it's set now. I still doubt it would if set at 500amp with no delay, but it may raise the front a little without bringing the wheels off the ground.
I think it was due to me going backwards down the inclined ramps that made it come up so quick. |

Re: Converting 36 volt ezgo to 48
Well there we have it. I think my next move is to send the motor to PQ when it gets a little colder here and have it back up and running before the snow comes for some fun in the white stuff! And crank the controller up to it's 500 amps!

Re: Converting 36 volt ezgo to 48
As I was reading about "The Incident" I thought when he hit the throttle the outcome was going to be spinning the ramps out from under the rig
