Crack around roof bolt
When we first got this used 2006 Lifted TXT last Fall, it had alot of condensation collect inside the roof. I drilled a few extra holes in it and caulked over all the bolts on the top of the roof.
The other day, I noticed about a 1" crack coming from the bolt area. Is this normal, if we use the cart on very bumpy terrain, or might it be from the bolt being too tight? I guess I'll just caulk over the crack too, since I've been noticing a little more water inside the roof lately. Thanks. |

Re: Crack around roof bolt
I put a longer bolt with a larger fender washer on top to seal up mine around the crack.

Re: Crack around roof bolt
Mine are cracked and so are my neighbor's...I guess it's pretty common! (2008 and 2007 models)
I did the big washer trick too. |

Re: Crack around roof bolt
Here's your other thread about this problem
drill some more holes in the bottom to get the water out and then seal around the crack http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...side-roof.html |

Re: Crack around roof bolt
Thanks everyone,
I didn't know if I should loosen the bolt, but I think I'll go with the bigger washer, since that will distribute the weight better. Thanks again. |

Re: Crack around roof bolt
At first I thought I'd enjoy the cart more without the top, but I'm glad I left it on. In summer, it would be so hot with the sun beating down, or wet from rain. Plus lately, I've been enjoying riding in the woods, and we have tons of walnuts falling down from high places. Incoming!!!
