burnt wire on motor
I have a 1994 electric ezgo goft cart. This weekend it lost power all at once while driving down the road. I found one of the wires on the top of the motor had burned out of the copper wire end. The nut on the motor was burnt so bad it would not unscrew from the post. I was able to re-crimp a new wire on the connector and the golf cart works as normal.
The only problem is that the post coming out of the motor glows red and throws sparks. This happens with almost no pushing of the pedal. Golf cart runs fine even with this issue. So my question is this... Do I have a bad controller or a bad motor? I was not on the golf cart when this happened, my son was, and the batteries were at about half charge. |

Re: burnt wire on motor
Welcome to BGW!
The motor needs to be repaired or the cycle will continue. |
