My battery charger seems to be getting hot and also plug end that plugs into the cart.I checked the rectifier it was bad so I ordered a kit replaced rectifier fuse and relay charger now works but got the heat issue. What do think the problem is? charger is a power drive 2

Happy first post and welcome to BGW!

First off, is the charger actually functioning properly and charging the batteries? I just replaced those three things is my charger and it works fine now, so it may be a cart problem, not a charger problem. Someone else may know, but I think it may be in the cart...

how hot is hot? if you can rest your hand on charger and leave it there without getting burnt some chargers just get hot.....now if its hot enough that you can,t leave your hand on it then yes there may be an issue..........................................
