Default Where did you mount your Voltage Reducer?

Hey guys! Didn't like drawing from my two 6V batteries, so I've finally purchased a 12v voltage reducer. Ive been looking at where to mount it and figured it would be a good question to ask on here to see some examples. Also if you could provide any pics and what you like/dislike about your mounting position or would do different next time? Much appreciated!

How difficult is it to remove the fiberglas body to mount the reducer where you did ? That is really the only good place. Thanks.

It's a little bit of a pain, but not too bad.
I just removed mine and mounted a reducer a couple weeks ago.
Just have to remove a bunch of bolts...

Mine is a plastic body but I believe the mounting bolts are in the same locations. It went fairly smooth UNTIL I got to the two bolts at the bottom of the front seat (if your sitting in the cart, one of them is at the heel of the driver and one at the heel of the passenger). Those two bolts were each rust-welded into their nuts as a solid piece ...more details and pics are on my build page. Long story short, once I broke them off I replaced them with SS bolts so it wouldn't happen again. Could easily be done on a Saturday if its your first time.

Yep mine were a bit corroded and rusty, but they came off.
I can see on an older cart these being fused together!
