Default '99 DS Electric battery's question

Hey guys I'm new here and need some help. I am a golf course superintendent have have 60 gas Club Cars in my fleet. However I recently obtained a '99 DS Electric cart. When I was given the cart it came with 4 new batteries/connection wires (Exide #24MDC) and I was told everything was there it just needs to be connected. I've been searching wiring schematics and I can only come up with the 6-battery schemes not the 4.

Im lost and not sure where to turn or what to do..???

assuming its a 48 volt cart should have came with 6, 8 volt batteries .....not 4 12 volt , but 48 volts is 48 volts (but run time will be crapier)

I only plan on using this cart around my house for personal use, not at the course. I don't want to sink money into batteries for this thing.....suggestions?

You can use them, they may not last real long though. Just wire them series (+ to -)

I recently acquired a '98 DS for cheap. I used 4 12v marine batteries to test everything and ensure that the thing even worked. Everything worked fine, everything that is except for the batteries. Don't get me wrong, the cart functioned, but after changing the batteries to the proper 6 8v batteries, top speed increased about 3 mph, hill climbing ability w/4 bodies on board increased DRAMATICALLY, and run time....... well, let's just say HUGE difference. Get the correct batteries, or cut your losses now and sell the thing. You won't be happy otherwise.
