Default 01 club car smoking and stalling

I've been making some repairs to our family golf cart. First problem was the clutch wasn't engaging and just spinning so replaced that and did fuel filter and fuel line replacement. Also replaced the starter. So the problem that seems to be going on is that the cart to will run now and go BUT after a bit it bog down and then it will come back and start running but it will start to smoke pretty good and meet repeating that. Run stop run smoke. Any tips on what to do

Check to make sure oil is not over full. That will do exactly as you are stating.

This would be the first thing I'd check! because it happened to me!
Full throttle, poof.... stall... a ploom of white/blue smoke, then it restarted!
(Did it 3 times) and I knew right then, that there was a problem,
sure enough, it was overfilled!
I corrected the level, and haven't had a problem since!

Checking in guys. Found out what the issue was. When the cart ran out of fuel whoever put fuel in it wasn't paying attention and used a gas and oil mix in it. I tested this theory by siphoning out almost all the fuel and running out what I could and putting in canned pure gas. Runs perfect now.
