Interesting. Those bolts on mine looked like part of the frame. How do you lengthen them? Just get longer ones?

Longer bolts grade 8

If you don't do the extender, larger tires will rub on the back of fender/floorboard area

so the extender will allow 20 inch tires?

I would think so, I'm putting a 1 1/2" spacer with the extension and hoping my 23" tires clear; my XRT came with 5 of the plates you called No. 1, and it had 20" tires standard

Picture to come. I've labelled the three "plates" 1/2/3 and assume it goes between 1 and 2 (top and middle/leaf spring). So I'd just drill for the new bolts and make a notch for the frame bolts and the little allen bolt thing that adjusts the tires?

How does that affect the camber and the tie rods etc? It looks like it would want to pull the tires into a weird alignment.

All thoughts are welcome. I've got all day Saturday to mess with it while I'm smoking 4 pork shoulders :)

You turn the upper control arms over to make up for the additional length, there is a vidio on Jakes website showing installation
