Need help with Govenor
Alright folks, I just got a '04 Precedent Professional gas and it will be used only on the golf course. It is just too fast right now. I know that sounds crazy, but I want this thing to last a long time. Could someone please tell me how to properly adjust the govenor so the speed will come down to a good level. I have read a couple of posts that others have made but they were on older models. The govenor does not seem to be kicking in at all right now. When I accelerate on flat ground the rpm's continue to climb with the speed and the engine rpm's never seem to level off and hold steady. I would really appreciate all help that you guys give.

Could you get some pics of this governor? I would bet it's similar to the older governor adjustments.

Re: Need help with Govenor
Roady89, thanks for the interest in my problem. I don't have any pictures, but it is very similar to the pic posted by Ake01 in the "Governor arm setup problem" thread. I think my problem can be fixed by adjusting the pivot that the governor arm is tightened around. I just am not sure this is the answer and if so, which way do I turn it?
