Default Jakes lift kit model number?

I have a 2005 CC gas cart and I want to buy a kit. Everyone said buy Jakes or All Sport. I was looking at the Jakes kit model # 6234. It said it work with plastic dust covers. I am not sure if they are plastic but they are black. I cant check for a few days. Are the black dust covers plastic?

Also my rear springs are worn out and need to be replaced. I noticed the Jakes lift did not include them. Where is a good place to find these?

The 6234-3LD it the same 3" spindle lift I have on my 2007 (DS) Lynx,
and no, it doesn't come with rear springs,
and yes, in most cases, black caps are plastic,
BUT... you need to confirm that before ordering!

Cart Parts Plus is where I got both my lift, and HD rear springs.
Call Jakes, or CPP and see what they can do for you!

If you dust covers are black then you need Part# 6234 for 6" lift or Part# 6234-3LD for 3" lift. This is if you have a DS cart. If you have a Precedent it is Part# 6232 for 6" and Part# 6232-3LD for 3".

Thanks Don for the info.

The cart in your avatar only has a 3" lift?

It looks like you have plenty of clearance. I may not need 6". I will be in the woods and wanted a little additional clearance under the buggy but I hear the higher you go the more difficult to control and it raises your COG.

Thanks for the correction Jake's, I didn't really know what size Ducky was looking at!

Err... Ummm... no...

My cart came with a 4" Z lift from the factory, and I added the 3" spindles,
THEN... with 22" tires, I had too much wheel well, So I put 25" tires on it!

The 6" should work well for you, and there shouldn't be much of a "control" problem,
Look around BGW at some of these peoples carts, alot are 6" lifts, it just goes to show ya' what works!

Oh... and sorry for the confusion!
