Default Rear end popping

I have a 98 G19E. I have a popping / knocking sound in what seems to the left rear. The noise only is while under load both forward and backward. I have removed the wheel and hub. Reinstalled and had the same issue. I thinking about removing the left axle just to look for the problem. Any ideas or help with the tear down of the rear end would be helpful. Thanks

Stupid question, but have you checked the springs or the perch's? I'm wondering if one of them is either broken, loose, or if a bolt is missing?

Well I checked the above issue and all was ok. So back the drawingh board. I am able to move the tire/wheel slightly when jacked up making me think maybe the hub and axles spline are worn? It has a new bearing already and I know the axle nut is tight.

Sorry to hear that it wasn't something simple, but I think you may be on the right track with the spline being worn. Especially with it only happening while under load.
