Re: Little more speed
Got my motor back from Plum Quick doing the Bandit upgrade.
Prior to the upgrade I was able to do 19-20mph with a stock 2018 Precedent speed code 4 with 10"wheels/low profile tires Did a fast test and was able to get her up 25mph before I let off on the accelerator. Plum Quick did say 25-28mph. |

Re: Little more speed
So wondering if I didn’t do anything else what an admiral speed motor would give me for speed. Then could order the controller, solenoid and cables later

Re: Little more speed
So decided to get the new motor first. Installed new admiral high speed motor still have stock controller and cables etc. Went from 14 mph to 21-22 mph. 1 year old batteries. Decided that the with the cost I also got to keep my stock motor in case I need it later for whatever purpose. Will also be installing dual action rear springs to help with a little rubbing of the tires when carrying passengers.
Seems that this is a pretty good speed for a stock cart. Has anyone figured out how to balance these small wheels as I have a little shimmy going on that is much more noticeable at higher speeds. |

Re: Little more speed
Not sure if the high tech wheel balancers will do a wheel that small but you can always ask. Another option is if you can find a small shop they might have a bubble balancer.

Re: Little more speed
Geez, sorry! I thought you were on a budget that's why I suggested the Bandit at $275. I thought you were talking about a little improvement. If I knew your pockets were deeper I would have suggested you cut to the chase and go Navitas AC!

Re: Little more speed
Lol. Was on a budget but raised it some. Made more sense to buy a motor and not pay a bunch of shipping charges and still have a motor on hand for another project. Almost went the plumb quick route but was going to cost me close to $200 for total shipping costs.
And now I can get a controller setup if I want to go even faster. Did not want to dig into changing all of that at this point. All is good and I am happy with 21-22 mph! |
