Default 95 club car ds throttle issue

Good morning, I have a 95 club car that recently started having throttle issues. If I put the throttle all the way to the floor , it now slows and hesitates a lot and sometimes stops . If I hold the pedal just before flooring, maybe 1/2in to an inch, it goes well but also seems to have lost a minimum amount of top end speed and power on small hills , ie … top speed of 13 mph from bouncing between 14-15 mph gps speed . Also slows more going up hills since this issue arose . I have brand new batteries and cables, had check over by golf cart shop (had a charging issue I just couldn’t figure out ) repaired , and worked very well till throttle issue! Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I really don’t want to start replacing random parts until I figure it out (my normal MO lol) thank you much!!

Depends on what throttle system it has.
What voltage is the cart? Is this a series cart? You should have a lever for FnR.
There were several different throttle setups used on those. It will either have a silver/grey pot box under the floor behind the pedal assembly. Or it will have a pie shaped wedge that could either be a Multi-step pot, or a v-glide depending on what voltage the cart is.

It is a 48v series and has a black plastic box connected to the throttle

Old pot (potentiometer) box. Inside that box is a potentiometer that's worn or dirty. I'm guessing resistance is inconsistent at the "hammer down" end of the pedal travel. I've replaced the pot on those a time or two. The unit has been out of production for years but you can replace just the pot (think volume knob) but it's a little tricky. You have to have a component that makes the correct variation of resistance in the limited travel the linkage swings the shaft on the pot. The better option is to upgrade to an MCOR. Talk to Dave @ Revolution (see the sponsors tab).

I will second what Meink said. Call Dave at Revolution Carts. Make your cart an "IQ" convertion and never look back. The new systems are better built, less wiring and parts. Dave will give you exactly what you need. He's been 100 percent on the money with everything I've ordered in the past year.

The part is obsolete. Contact Dave at Revolution Golf Cars and get an MCOR replacement kit for the cart.
