Got it guys and dang it was the simplest thing. The throttle cable wasnt opening the butterfly hardly at all. When I disconnected the oil pump cable from the carb I never noticed it was the one doing all the opening and closing of the throttle butterfly. The throttle cable which is a push pull cable only had one cable clamp and it was on the backside of the butterfly........it would close it fine but did hardly anything at all to open it. Wow I cant believe I didnt check the obvious stuff first. Anyway thanks guys-----steering is next and Ill prob need some help.
