Default 2002 Ezgo TXT vs 1996 Club car DS

Greetings all,

Need some advice, I have acquired both of these carts , neither runs at this time. What are the pros and cons? Which is better to restore? Looking for possible street legal/camp ground cart.

Thank you in advance,

Need more info on both. Series or sepex? Parts are roughly same cost for both. This is just opinion, but I lean towards Txt (I'm biased, I'm at an ezgo dealer).

Thank you Cgtech!

After a quick search on this site I believe them to both be series.

In my humble opinion there is nothing better than a Club Car DS. Built to last. Unequaled comfort. But that is just my opinion, and you know what they say about that.

Don't know the laws in your state, but here they have to go between 20-25mph to get plates. So consider & research the motor in both to see what speed to expect with each. On series carts, a controller upgrade will not get you any mph.

The TXT has a better ride than the DS. If you have a PDS TXT then the upgrades will cost less than a series DS. If they are both series then the costs will be about the same.

As far as older frames CC probably wins, But I vote EZGO for overall experience.
