Getting ready to power up the Lithium/Alltrax conversion
I’m getting ready to power up the controller and test the installation. I've moved and removed a lot of wires and such. My confidence is high that I've done it right. After all, I bought all my parts from site sponsors and have spent every night reading post after post and it wasn't the Girls on Carts thread, either. Well, maybe a page or two before bed. Sweet dreams and all, right?
Anyway, I'm just waiting for confirmation from scottyb to make sure my solenoid doesn’t need either the resistor nor the diode. The Alltrax has a March 2017 build date and from what I’ve read some places online, I don’t. However, the instructions for the Alltrax indicate both are needed. After spending over $2500 so far on this project, the last thing I need is to turn this into a Lithium fueled smoking pile of metal and plastic in my garage. Wish me luck. |

Good luck.
Looking forward to hearing about a successful test ... not like the North Korean missile tests! |

The XCT does not require the solenoid have an external pre-charge resistor or surge arresting diode. Keep us posted on your results

Thanks! I will make one more pass checking on all the wire connections and light her up tomorrow or Saturday.
