Default 2007 club car precedent charging issue

I bought a used non running club car precedent

Bought brand new batteries 4x12volt

Bought brand new club car precedent charger

Cart runs but does not charge. I’ve tried to understand the sticky but no luck.

I tried read all this but couldn’t make out exactly what I needed to do.

My thinking was just a black 10g wire running from charging port to negative battery

I bought a brand new club car OEM charger

If You bough a brand new PowerDrive 3 box, it only works with the OBC so You cannot by-pass it.

If Your OBC is bad, You need a smart charger in addition to by-passing the OBC.

You can bypass the OBC by running a jumper from the back side of the charge receptacle (where the black 10g wire is that goes into the harness) and run it directly to the Main Pack Negative. Also take the grey sense wire coming off the same receptacle and land it to the same place. This will allow the charger to turn on "if" the OBC has failed. Note- This is only to test and not to make normal operation.

Unfortunately that is just the "power supply" side of the charger, the electronics of the charger are inside the OBC.

The Powerdrive3 will only work with the OBC.
