Default Gap for BPR5ES Spark Plug

Can someone help me figure out what the correct gap should be for my NGK R BPR5ES plugs? Replacing them today but don't know what to gap them to. thanks.

Not the answer you were looking for but if I recall correctly the EH29C engine takes BPR4ES plugs.

I gapped mine at .035" but I won't swear to it.

.028-.030 is what the service manual said.

That’s a hotter plug I believe. I’m just replacing what was already in there since it’s my buddies cart. Cleaned carb, replaced plugs and adjusted governor. It was topping out at 16 but I’m hitting 23 now. Going to back it down a bit since it occasionally sputters/backfires

That's what the old plugs were set to when I replaced them so I did as well but only temporarily until I figure out what the factory spec is. I'm seeing .28 and .30 so far but again not in a owners manual or factory website. Still hoping someone with an owners manual

User manual report :)
I use the NGK BPR4ES instead of the one listed for the 9hp .

Thanks. I thought my 295 pre-MCI had always used BPR4ES. Memory is still working.

Yes, I beleive the NGK FR2A-D is the same plug as the NGK BPR4ES but you use a 5/8 socket to remove it instead of the 13/16th. I like you stay with the NGK BPR4ES on the 9 hps.
I sure don't want to go to change a plug and have to hunt up a different socket
