A few pictures with the axle back in. Replaced the input shaft as well. Rear shocks are too short so need to get some different ones to fit back there. Hoping to have brakes and tires on by end of next week.

I reached out to a local shop to have the body painted and repaired, any idea what a fair price would be?

Well a year and half later I made some progress.

The cart is now up and running.

New Alltrax controller (500 or 600 amp don't remember), 48v, and switch instead of the lever, as well as 0 gauge wires.

Still a few things to figure out, hopefully some people can help:

The cart seems top out at 18mph.... is this normal or should it be faster?
I hear an almost whirring noise from the rear end area when coasting... not a whistle though.
Cart is a little jerky and take a second to respond to gas pedal - could this be ITS? Voltage starts a 7.8v not 10v as expected.

Looks great so far! I'm finally going through mine after 2 years. Ordered the doubletake titan body and figured while I'm pulling it apart I might as well give it a good once over. Couple of questions. Where did you get your tires and wheels? What lift kit did you use and how did you make the move from 36v to 48v other than the obvious 6v to 8v batteries. More information the better please. :)

I owe this thread some updates, but I will get there lol.

Tires and wheels - DIY Golf Cart. Modz 14" Bomber

Lift kit was $110 from Golf Cart Tire supply, 6" Steeleng lift.

The factory motor can handle 48v, so if good no need to go that route.

I bought a new controller, solenoid, and switched from the manual lever to a reversing contactor (F/R switch) The controller and solenoid are what are needed to go to 48v.

I have actually decided to switch the cart over to AC, which is a bit more expensive but what the hell lol.

I am selling the controller and reversing contactor if anyone is interested. Hardly used.

Ok finally more updates. Here I repainted the rear roof struts to a glossy black, and then re-painted the rear seat back cover. I then installed the new cover. Small steps make such a bigger difference.

A few more of the seat back, was really happy with how that came out.

I painted the roof black, honestly kind half-assed it because I know the 84" is coming eventually. It works for now but is far from perfect.

Next I re-did the front seat. The old wood was rotting very bad, and the cover was completely shot. Used a router to trace it the best I could and used 3/4" pvc board from home depot. I also repainted the side handles and then put on the new cover.

Next up was wiring. The body kit came with a 10amp converter, which blew up right away. So did the replacement. Upgrading to a 30 amp and no issues. There is more wiring behind the dash I did later but forget to take pictures of. I also moved the F/R from the rear body to the dash, and added a USB charger.

Next up I installed the Navitas 5kw motor. This motor is a monster, had to remove the shock to get it in. Next up was the controller, ended up having to tap the mount to make it work.
