Default Ez go 36 volt again!!!

Not sure the year of the cart but here is where im at now. Cart wouldnt move. all voltages were good except for the pedal control voltages. I tried a brand new ITS pedal box module. still same problem. I rigged up a potentiometer from 50 to 5000 ohms and the cart works!!!!! My question is this do I have the wrong ITS module ? Do I need some sort of resistor box controlled by the pedal? wrong controller? HELP!!!!! This cart was " WORKED ON" before I got it so I have no idea what went on other than the wiring was messed up thanks to the help from Johnny B!!!!.

Maybe I missed something but if the cart works on 0-5k maybe the controller is not set up for ITS ?

Thats what im wondering. I guess its a curtis 1205 4 spade controller. Can you set those up for different pedal inputs?

Can you educate me here? I seldom work on electric carts. The controller was purchased by the dealer I am assuming by the request of the client. I think its a curtis 1205. Do you need to buy the controller for a ITS or a resistor box? Can you swap a jumper or something in it or program it for the ITS? Is it better ( cheaper) to get a 0 to 5K pedal assembly?

If it's programmable it will have a white 4 pin molex plug on it to plug in the programmer, or computer cable. If it don't have that, it's not programmable.

It would be best and easiest to install the correct controller.

I'd put an Alltrax SR48400 (or larger) user programmable controller in it.

Thanks again you guys!! The owner is going to buy the correct controller. I just bought a decade box off Amazon to test controllers that use the resistance pedal assembly for testing.

What is a decade box? I'm open for learning something new.

There are decade boxes for resistors, capacitors and inductors that are used to create components with specific values for substitution in circuits.

A decade is 10 of something. (0 thru 9)

It's easier to link to some than try to explain what they are.
