![]() I’m interested in painting some accents on my TXT in the factory tan /beige color of the original tan roof. Does anyone know the actual color code or name of the factory EZGO “TAN” color used for the roof top canopy?
*If anything, ...does anyone have any ideas on how I could find a color that matches perfectly? |

![]() The seats won’t match the top perfectly anyway so I’ve found that any tan in that color family works just fine
Due to the texture differences... the reflected light won’t be the same no matter what you do... even the same roof doesn’t look to be the same color in your pictures there due to lighting differences... so... make it easy on yourself and go with any tan in that family I’ve done lots of tan ‘matching’ on golf carts ... can’t hardly mess it up really... They’ll be plenty complementary |

![]() Remove the top. Take it to your nearest Benjamin Moore paint dealer. They are the best at matching paint. Prepare and paint the way they suggest.

![]() Same carts... different angle... canopies look white just from a different reflected light
Front and rear seats aren’t exactly the same but you can’t tell it |

![]() Tan is a very forgiving color... hard to mess it up
These tan wheels aren’t an exact match to the canopy OR either of the seats... looks lovely, doesn’t it? And being as you want it perfect... I’m assuming that you’re a bit particular... first time you change a tire or a hubcap on a painted rim... it becomes only ‘mostly’ painted and that ain’t gonna work for you... You’ll either need to have them powder coated or just splurge on some aluminum rims... you ain’t gonna be happy with scratched paint after one tire change |

![]() Painting canopies on these things is sketchy business... they don’t hold paint very well but if you don’t run em under low branches and don’t use a pressure washer to wash em... that paint will hang on for a good while if you prep it well for paint
As for the paint itself... I’m a cheap ******* so I usually just use some form of rust retarding paint from the hardware store in quart cans... thin it and shoot it You’re gonna find that it’s hard to mess up color matching that tan... if it looks good use it... if you can’t tell whether or not it looks good... then...it looks good enough I tend to lean towards darker shades rather than lighter just because any light tends to lighten it |
