That looks fantastic. You should be proud of the build.

Looks great! Can you tell me which dash kit that is? And more specifically.....about what looks like audio controls just below the cup holders?

Thanks for the props everyone

Mattadata, the dash is from VIP golf carts. The audio controls are for my iphone stereo. Part of the Kicker PXI-50 or something like that. It connects to your iphone and has built in 25 watt amps. I however, used the preouts to bypass the amps and ran them to a .. ahem.. slightly more powerful amp. Also ran a set of the preouts to my amplified subwoofer!

What are you using for a charger? Do you have a Battery Management System? Any gut shots?

Great job but no "under the hood" pictures? That's where all the money is.

Elcon is local, so they custom built me an on board charger. For the 12V system, I am using a simple Battery Tender. They both hook up to the charging port, so a simple extension cord to the port and everything gets charged.

Also am using a mini-BMS from Dimitri at Clean PowerAuto.

There are a couple of pics on my "mini" build thread here:

When I get some time, I'll snap some better photos of the underseat. Unfortunately, some of us have to work today...

I looked at your "Under Hood" Pix. Looks very nice. Did you build up the battery pack or did you locate a source for it? I want to do a conversion at some time in the future when my current set of batteries has met the end of life.

Ordered the Leaf cells from Hybrid Auto Center in Las Vegas. Then I fabricated the box from some extra HDPE I had laying around.

Update…

Used the cart for its first round of golf today. Including high speed runs back and forth to my house, this cart only drained 29% of its capacity according to my EV Display state of charge meter. As I have it set to read 0% battery capacity when there is actually 20% remaining, looks like this 60aH pack will easily last through 3 rounds of golf without recharging. Who woulda thunk it???
My other cart will die during the 2nd round with its 3 year old batteries.

Sweet, hope it works great for you too.got any plans for maintaining a good balance for the life of the batts (how to be sure they stay balanced)? I feel they should be "top charged" every so often, if you are using the "top balance" system i think you are using. Just wondering if you have any "checks & balances" system in mind.
