Re: OBC bad?
to add to above, I like to also add the hydrometer test of each cell, it can help tell the whole story. I noticed after reading my used 2012 batteries from the golf course, .2 volts on one battery is all it takes to make a noticeable difference, the hydrometer pointed out the exact weak cell.

Btw the DPI charger uses 33 watts in float mode and if float mode isn't important you can disable it. |

Re: OBC bad?
Thanks for the replys. I had a DPI charger that i got with my cart when i bought it . It worked fine and would cut off when finished, then it fryed itself 2 weeks ago. And after that i borrowed my brothers charger and his would get down to 4 amps and wouldnt cut off like it did before my charger fryed while charging. so i ordered a new charger a Lester charger and it does the same as my brothers, down to 4 amps and wont go any lower. I checked all my batteries with a volt meter and 3 of them are around 12.8 and 1 is 12.65 or so. So i unhooked thst battery and put my car charger on it and got it up to 12.8 and then i hooked the bstteries back up and plugged in the lester charger , it chrged and came down to 4 amps and still wouldnt go any lower . Thanks again.

Re: OBC bad?
Wait a second, if you had a DPI the OBC was already most likely bypassed, useless it was the DPI model that utilizes the OBC. If it was already bypassed, any CC or Lester charger that works with the OBC will not work

Likely the OBC is bypassed and a CC charger wont kick off without it, it'll be like the Energizer Bunny, and keep going and going......... |

Re: OBC bad?
I guess from now on in addition to the serial number we need to post the configuration of our cart especially if its been modified. Like a lot of people do in their sig line.

Re: OBC bad?
Its not been bypassed. I used my brothers charger when i first bought my cart. Just to make sure mine worked like it should. Because his charger worked and he had used it alot. I was making sure my charger worked because it wasnt a CC brand. I was just nervous lol. But now his or mine wont cut off. They both get to 4 amp and wont go any lower. Sorry for all the confusion. I have never had an electric vehicle. I can work on gas stuff but this electric stuff is alot different. If i didnt have so much in it now . I would sell it and buy a gas. But i cant .

Re: OBC bad?
Ok try this. Lift the seat and look at the battery that has the negative wire going thru the OBC. Tell me how many wires are connected to that terminal.
