Default TXT PDS motor stuttering

Hey guys,

After removing the motor to replace the input shaft seal (rear end oil dripping from motor), now that it's all back together I've developed a new issue.

50% of the time, when I push the accelerator, the solenoid clicks but the cart doesn't move.

The other 50% of the time, I push the pedal and nothing happens for about one second, then the cart lunges and drives, but the motor sometimes stutters too.

I'm thinking its a solenoid issue but I know there resister/diode can sometimes fail too.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I know it sounds dumb but, did you double check to see all your cable connections were tight

Hope you wrapped the field wires with tape while they were disconnected. If they touched Anything, the controller could have been damaged. The field circuit in the controller is quite sensitive.

Scotty-
As it turns out, your question wasn't dumb at all. But I apparently was! I was so sure everything was tight, that I almost replied without double checking! One of the motor terminals was indeed loose.

CG-
No, I didn't wrap anything. I ignorantly assumed with the R/T switch in tow, and the batteries disconnected that the lines are all dead. It seems to be fine now. Is it possible for the damage to surface later? Or am I out of the woods?

my 1998 txt show 37 volts on charging display. When I tried to drive up on my trailer I got half way and ran out of power. Then the cart would not move, turned off ignition/back on and it stutters. Then a clicking sound and finally it moved back under my deck where it now rests. Any suggestions?
