What would you guess top speed of 91' Marathon?

Ever truly wondered what top speed is of your cart?

The other day in our neighborhood, there was one of those police speed trailers on side of road. One of the roads has people always trying to cut thru, speed limit is 15mph and they think it's a race track!

So me and the kids did some top speed tests. Our cart is a 91' Marathon, only upgrade is 4awg wire, everything else is stock. With all three of us on the cart the speed trailer was showing 11-12mph. Wanting to see if we could get it faster had my lightest daughter drive cart herself past trailer and showed 14mph. Not to shabby for our stock cart.

Was interesting to see how fast the cart truly was.

Sounds about right. I had one with a 3" lift and 22" tires and could barely squeeze 13 out of it on a full charge with the family on it. I'm sure my kid could get it up to 15 or so but I retired it...

Keep in mind those radars aren't always too accurate. We have one as well and it reads 2 mph slow

your smart phone with a gps app will be more accurate.

Yea I'd download a handhelp smartphone gps app. Radar guns are only as accurate as their last calibration. Those big speed signs are never calibrated.

Stock speed was 12-14 mph. If you had ezgo's high speed motor (AU2500 hi spd) then 18-19mph. For a stock series system, its an easy guess, only two possibilities.

I use one called checkit. It tells speed, the st your on, and posted speed limit of he street your on. Seems pretty accurate with the truck. Seems to lag a second or two but not bad.
