Yep, seen too many "green fuzzy pile" cable sets causing a "plasma event". Once the corrosion is inside the cable jacket, its like un-curable cancer. Same with trying to get the corrosion out of the threaded portion of the battery terminal.

Plasma event is not the correct description, but i use it to describe the pretty blue arc sustained across the broken wire and the battery terminal fed through the corrosion pile. May or may not cause an explosion that lifts the seat while you are sitting on it.

Had all 6 blow up on me in a Garia ($24k) while driving. "pucker factor" was at least an 8. Easily as loud as a shotgun.
