2010 ezgo rxv
I went for a evening ride in my cart until about a mile down the road the cart just quit unexpectedly and smelt really bad I got off and lifted up the seat and didn't see any smoking or melted wires so I got back on and drove another 40 ft and did the same exact thing

Yep, you also need a new "motor brake". Study up here & get it installed right. Not a new problem. Sorry.
