1206 controller
The cart is a '99 txt which developed intermittent stoppage, and finally quit running. Batteries are hot (39V) ITS is new (my mistake). All microswitches test OK, Solenoid seems to work. Reverse beeper sounds, and jumping the solenoid makes the wheels (jacked up) spin like normal. I have run the diagnostic protocol in the "sticky" .pdf files, but end up in a "loop" with no real answers. Could it be the controller?
Is there a definitive test procedure for the 1206 controller? I hate to spend megabucks unnecessarily, and is there a replacement for the 1206 controller? The heat index is 110F today, and I can work about 10 minutes at a stretch before I get loopy. Maybe that's the problem... |

Re: 1206 controller
Is that a series cart? My series cart killed two stock solenoids, due to my abuse. It became intermittent. Does the solenoid always click, even when it doesn't go? Another possibility would be to check the 4 wire MOLEX connector between the throttle box and the wiring harness.

Re: 1206 controller
The solenoid doesn't click unless I jump it directly from the battery.

Re: 1206 controller
That means you need to check out the low amperage solenoid activation circuit. We still need to know which type drive you have.

Re: 1206 controller
Strange. I click on the Stickey link and it works. I tried copy/pasting it, but it doesn't work.

From the pictures I have a "series".

Four switches connected in series. Eight or so lengths of wire and an in-line connector connecting the switches to the solenoid coil. |

Re: 1206 controller
So...I need to check continuity of each wire terminal-to-terminal, or voltages using the B- as common ?

Re: 1206 controller
Connect your DMM - to pack -. Then, with the cart on jack stands, check each and every switch. You should get pack + all the way.
