99 TXT not moving...911
Hi have a little emergency..... My 99TXT wont move.. 2 days ago I put it in forward and hit the go-pedal and it waited a sec and then literally jumped into gear.. Last night I put it in forward and hit the pedal and nothing for a couple seconds and then it was like it slammed into gear. Took it out of gear and tried to replicate it and all I have now is clicking... I put it in reverse and it would run in reverse for a ew minutes and then it started to do the same thing as it did in forward.. Now it wont do either. And yes the batteries are charged. It is all stock. Were at the campground and my ezgo is a nogo... 2 yrs ago I replaced the forward/reverse switch.

Sounds like an FnR switch problem. You could try tightening the center nut on the switch and see what happens but I think you have a melted post. With it in F do the lugs line up with the posts?

You may have already done this, check all connections on or near fwd reverse switch. Maybe jack up rear with seat off and test. Don't know what kind of fwd rvs switch is on those but if wires move when you use switch , look at those first.

Yup, found a loose connection stud on the rear bottom. It looks like I could re-weld it? I know there like 150 bucks or so.

What he said
If you need it now, you can bypass the fnr by just moving the cable to the stud if would connect to with the switch in F. Look at the buss bars and see what should be connected.. I am pretty sure 6 o'clock and 9 o'clock are together and 12 and 3 are together.. Mark the cables before you do this and take the cam off so bad things don't happen. |

Interesting..... Its the 6 oclock stud that is defective. So I would take the 6 cable and attach it to the 12? |

No, that would be bad.. Look at the buss bars on the switch. In forward I believe 9 and 6 are connected.
