2004 TXT Differential / Carrier Cover
Long time follower, first time poster! I've been having a very hard time locating a differential / carrier cover for my 2004 TXT! according to the parts manual it is not available as a separate part. I contacted EZGO and they gave me part #60185. This cover does not look like mine and Joe at EZGO didn't seem overly confident that it was the same! Whenever someone tells me something, "should work", I tend to lean towards it probably won't! Anyone have any experience replacing this?

Re: 2004 TXT Differential / Carrier Cover
Never saw a diff cover that could not be repaired, repainted, and reinstalled.
Maybe post a pic of the one you are looking for - (yours) in the parts section. |

Re: 2004 TXT Differential / Carrier Cover
My son ran over our fire pit, dent the cover back into the gear! Needless to say it grooved the cover pretty good. I could pound it back into shape & repaint and I probably will if I can't find a new one. No way will I buy a complete new axle assembly!

if you want/need one that looks new....and if you have any cart repair shops in your area.... I would be willing to bet they might have one. Its a shot anyway.

Re: 2004 TXT Differential / Carrier Cover
As long as the gears dont touch it, it doesnt leak and you can fill it up with fluid that would be the option I would go for, same thing happened to my sons transmission pan, I pounded the dent out, a friend welded the gash, some fresh paint and your good to go.
