Checked pin 6. I have pack voltage before pedal is pressed. When the solenoid clicks the voltage might drop into the teens or 20's or it might stay at pack voltage. Either way it immediately returns to full pack voltage.

Just to add to it. There are times that motor will engage. Either a shudder or at most a 1/3 wheel turn.

Sure sounds like the controller is sick. Pin-6 ought to drop to Zero, or very close to it as long as pedal is pressed.

Only other thing to check is the pedal switch. J4 Pin-1 should be Zero when pedal is up and constant pack voltage while pedal is pushed. The voltage on J4 Pin-1 tells the controller to energize the solenoid and if the voltage on Pin-1 stays steady and the solenoid drops out, the controller isn't doing what it is being told to do and therefore, it is bad.

---------
What you are seeing is the charge stored on the filter capacitors inside the controller being discharging through the motor and turning it. If the solenoid would stay closed, the cart would probably run. Unfortunately, even if just part of the controller is bad, it is all bad.

J4 pin 1 measured just like you said it should. I will order a controller. I really appreciate all the help.

I installed new DXC400 and new solenoid crossed my fingers and it fired right up. Thanks JohnnieB for all the help and the new controller has really pepped it up.

Where is this flow chart and is there one for a series cart, TXT? Something is not right with my cart.

There is a troubleshooting tree in the service manual.
You can down load the Service, the parts and the owner manuals that cover a 2006 TXT series drive cart here:

The are the three PDF files near the top.
