Default Brake Lights on continuously

1994 e-z-go - 36 volt. When I put the parking brake on the brake lights stay lit. Appreciate advice on how to correct.

Is it a kit that contained a little black bix that acts like a timer? If so it has most likely failed. If i remeber correctlyit had 4 wire connections.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. The brake lights go on and stay on when I depress the Park pedal. I don't think there is a timer involved.

Actually there is a timer. Lights should go off if pedal is held for about 30 seconds or more. This allows use of the park brake. You may have to crawl under the cart and follow the brake light (pedal activated) switch wires to locate the timer.

Thanks for that. I will give it a try. I shouldn't have been so presumptuous about the timer

If it has the stock EZ-Go brake lights the switch is on the back of the pedal. Lower pad swings to activate/deactivate the switch.
