2008 Ezgo rxv will not move
I would appreciate any assistance. My golf cart is a weekender, meaning it is at the lake and gets used every other weekend or so. Since we got the cart it will occasionally not move. We will go to the cart, turn the key on and never hear the secondary click, following the reverse buzzer. Probably some solenoid or brake release. What is this click and where is the part? The cart usually starts to work after it sits for a while.
Now the cart will not move. I charged it about a month ago, before leaving the lake, removed the charger and left to sit. Returned the next weekend and it would not move, but I do not hear the secondary click. Tried a couple of things but nothing worked so far. Plugged the cart back in and applied additional charging. Still nothing, checked for the past two weeks and tired of it not working, still no click. I need this fixed but do not know where to begin. PLEASE HELP! Would prefer not to take to shop, pretty mechanically inclined with a multi meter. |

Sorry didn't mention it was a 48 volt, if that matters

Re: 2008 Ezgo rxv will not move
hey,
it does sound like a solenoid issue. its in the battery compartment, a cylindrical looking thing with terminals on it. you might want to jump it out to test it. jack the car up in the back and take a battery cable or something as thick and go across the large terminals on top |

also, to reset the car, try disconnecting the main battery power for a minute or two and reconnect it

Re: 2008 Ezgo rxv will not move
also, are you sure your batteries are OK and the voltage is high enough to run the car....lol check the batteries if you can with a load tester, and read the pack voltage and make sure its high enough to function the car

Re: 2008 Ezgo rxv will not move
sorry should have mentioned it but to find the fuses and the solenoid you need to remove plastic cover with tow/run switch on it, but please be careful not to cross any connections by accident with anything metal when you are checking things
