Default Testing a speed controller

2002 800E 36v.
LOOKING to test the Curtis controller and throttle control.
Can i do this by passing solenoid?
Because I already know it bad.
The motor is good, toke apart and cleaned every thing and tested, looking to eliminate bad part in some type of order! LOL
Thanks
