Default RXV slow down for other drivers?

Is there a way to govern my cart when others drive it?

Yes there are a couple of ways, but to have it switchable would be a bit more difficult for someone not really familiar with electronics.

The easiest way is to unplug the motor speed encoder, which would make it crawl along very slow

Otherwise you would make up an adjustable voltage divider and switch that in and out on your throttle pedal signal lead. Then you could set the maximum speed on your adjusted position while normal would be unaffected.

Maybe I could make something that would slip on the pedal. Make it not go all the way down... ??

You could, but they might see it and remove it.

Or use a handheld and quickly change the cart to airport mode every time you finish using it.

I like this idea. I too have worried about having a "hopped up" rxv and letting my kids drive it. i'm gonna play with this idea some. I'm not too worried at this point of them taking it off as I will be around and they won't take it by themselves for the foreseeable future.
