Re: Cart identification possible purchase for my first cart
I think it is a good deal, even if it does need batteries. I would be concerned that someone else gets there before you do.
Other things you can check is the front end, grab the top of each front wheel and pull it towards you then push it away. If there is major slop it could be wheel bearings or kingPins and bushings. Neither are very expensive if you can do the work yourself. As someone else said bring a trailer with you, I think you found a good deal. Aflyer |

Re: Cart identification possible purchase for my first cart
Heimmike, Everything about this deal looks MUCH better than that EZGO you were considering. This cart has a modern, solid drive system and already 48v. Just so you are aware, Club Car no longer makes this model but has stopped only recently. I don't think parts will be an issue for many years if ever. Many people still prefer this model over the replacement Precedent model.
I'm in agreement with the others. Take cash and a trailer. |

Consider buying new batts. You are only in it for 2100. And in reality if water level is good and they've been maintained you have another four years anyhow( but don't tell him that) Bring cash and trailer. Test drive it, ask him if any modifications have been done.

Re: Cart identification possible purchase for my first cart
If it has a volt meter or gauge, watch to see the drop and recovery as you accelerate and go up and down inclines. This will give you a feel for the battery pack condition. If it is no meter/gauge, then you should be it to be a little snappy when you are going half throttle and them push it to the floor. Riding by yourself it should feel torquey.

Great deal. ! Don't let this get away. I went to look at one a few months back from a older later, and had a great deal but had to wait a few days before I could get my trailer and her grandson wanted so I lost out. Family first ! Bring cash and trailer and don't look back.

Re: Cart identification possible purchase for my first cart
Get that cart fast! That's a great price and it looks great as is.
I gave $1500 for my 2003 DS and it needed a lot of work and had aged batts. |

Re: Cart identification possible purchase for my first cart
standard springs are designed to haul a couple of fat golfers and all their gear around the golf course
unless your a porker and hauling 3 more porkers around standard springs will probably be fine my stock 03 cart hauls a 55 gal drum full of water for most of the summer for watering trees and plants beyond reach of a hose |

Re: Cart identification possible purchase for my first cart
I had to install the HD springs with my lift as it was an original 2 seater and when I put the back seat on it the cart would bottom out every now and then with 4 people on it. My springs came with the lift.
