Sooooo. Yeah. That could be an issue. It also needs a charger.

Since I'm new to these, how would I know if it's bad?

if it does not have a charger you should get a DPI charger and by pass the OBC
it is cheaper also

you would know OBC was bad if a stock charger will not turn on unless the OBC is bypassed

That was going to be the next question. I had searched for charger threads, and it seems the OBC delete is super easy.

At first I thought he might have listed it incorrectly asa 48v, when it could have been a 36v.

I was kind of excited to do a conversion if that was the case, but this way I'll save a good chunk of $$.

Any charger recommendations?

yea i have a 2002 cart and upgraded the controller and got a DPI charger and by passed the OBC

make sure you get the 17 amp stand alone charger

BTW ... stock cart can take up to 20" tire

i did zoom your photo and it looks to be a 48v charger recptical

Even better. I like the wheel wells to look kinda full.
