whats the best bang for the buck?

14 club car JE1409-441914 ERIC charger, all stock speed code 4 , 6 inch lift 23 inch tires. runs a solid 20 mph now, i want a solid 24mph. motor, or controller , don't want problems with my charger or anything else. which way should i go ??
dealer says he can change the motor get me there without changing any other components, be about 500 bucks.

If you change just the motor, the controller will still limit you at the parameters it is designed for.

That is a pretty decent stock motor, get with scottyb - Carts Unlimited or David Hicks - Revolution Golf Cars and look at getting a new Alltrax XCT controller. The 300 would be much more than stock and give you a good bump, but I would buy the 500 and have it tuned for my stock motor so down the road you are ready and capable of more upgrades without having to change the controller again. It is completely user programmable from your laptop with the Alltrax software.

Alltrax XCT500. Tune it down to about 400 and when you decide to replace your motor later, you will be all set. Price of 500 includes fan vs 400 plus fan is $15. Motor alone will do zero to increase speed because stock controller limit is set to 19.5

XCT400 will give 23mph
XCT500 will give 23mph

All the above controllers can run the FSIP A3 motor for 27.5 mph
I have the XCT300 and A3 motor in my 2014 Eric Precedent. The gained noticeable power and speed

will the xct300 get me to 24mph without changing anything else? and work with my eric charger we have a 25mph limit in our park so theres no reason for me to modify beyond that

You are talking one (1) mile per hour. Today, yes, tomorrow, no..... 100% pack charge on your pack, fresh batteries, 2 awg cables, flat ground, just you in the cart, controller turned up, wind at your back, etc. Heck yes!

Now turn all that around, partially discharged, older batteries, 6 awg cables, slight slope, you and the SO, head wind, etc. Heck no!

It does not effect the charger.

Yes 23.5 is what mine GPSed on a hard dirt road with the stock tires aired up good. Seemed fast.

One thing I notice with the Eric charger and the XCT is the charger interlock not working. This means you can drive away with the charger plugged in. Make a habit of running the charge cord through the steering wheel before pluggin into the cart to prevent dragging the charger down the road.
