2015 Precedent Question
This is my first post as well as my first golf cart and I do not know much. So I got a 2015 precedent not long ago, and I was wondering what do I need to make it go faster. I feel like I'm driving a rent golf cart, any reply will be helpful. Thanks in advanced and the serial number is JE1517-54 ( Precedent i2 HF CHG)

Re: 2015 Precedent Question
There are lots and lots of threads talking about this subject. But since you asked about a specific year and I have a 2015, I will tell you what I did.
I got an Alltrax 500 amp controller, 400 amp solenoid, and 2 gauge cables. I also have new batteries. That controller allows you to setup 3 user ‘personalities’. My highest performance setting gets me to 24mph. That’s on stock wheels and tires as well as motor. |

Re: 2015 Precedent Question
You could also get a Club Car dealer to enter the code for speed mode 4. That will make the cart go ~20mph max. Also it cost $75 to $100 depending on the dealer.

Re: 2015 Precedent Question
I think he was just giving him a cost option. And I do find quite a lot of people who prefer the SP4 setting over a controller only because they do not have the ability to change it themselves and do not want to invest the extra time and money on the controller. I know that is not the case for most of us on here, but out in the neighborhood that is most often the case....

Re: 2015 Precedent Question
Also tire size increase (11x22 or so) will give you more speed.....
Your best options will be the research you gain here and what your goals are (and wallet size for sure!) |

Re: 2015 Precedent Question
Let us know your goals for the cart and we'll let you know the best route to get to where you're trying to go with it. Best bang for the buck would be an Alltrax controller.

Re: 2015 Precedent Question
Thank you guys for all the replies! Very helful, I am going to try the SP4 option first and if its not enough then I will move on to the controller option. I am also going to replace my batteries for new ones since im having an issue when I accelerate, it bounces like 4 times so Im guessing the batteries will fix that problem since my speed sensor is fine.

Re: 2015 Precedent Question
My main goal for now is to get it going more than 20 mph. If it does not happen with the sp4 option, then I will have to get a new controller. I am also planning on lifting it and idk which tires are good for it.
