Default Hooking up Voltage Reducer and unsure of what this is

https://ibb.co/cBGzOy

I'm hooking up a 25a voltage reducer that I purchased from Scotty B and have a couple of questions/would like some confirmation.

I'm hooking up the Yellow to the positive on Battery 1.

the Blue to the negative on Battery 6. Does this also need to go somewhere (negative buss bar)? What is the thing circled in the picture attached? Is that a factory neg buss bar? When I got the cart, it looks like some negative leads from a couple items were hooked up there.

Red to the fuse box

Black ? - buss bar?

Orange(ish) to the key

the Blue to the negative on Battery 6. Does this also need to go somewhere (negative buss bar)? Nope, the black will go to the new buss bar.

When I got the cart, it looks like some negative leads from a couple items were hooked up there. They would have been. You need to run a jumper from your new bar to it or move them over to the new one

Red to the fuse box Yes

Black ? - buss bar? Yes

Orange(ish) to the key Yes

See above

You are correct, that is a factory buss bar. You will not use it. Run all your 12v negs to your new buss bar.
Blue goes only to battery 6.
Black from converter to new buss bar, to feed 12v negs.

Sorry to have to re-open. I'm hooking up:

Yellow to + on battery 1
Blue to - on battery 6
I'm getting 0.0 on the black and red leads using my multi-meter. Does the tan have to be hooked up?

Just curious as I look at the picture. Do you get full pack voltage between battery 1 and 6 or battery 1 and 5? The pack negative that runs through the OBC comes from battery 5 or 6? Just want to make sure the basics are wired correctly.

Yes, that Orange wire is the trigger wire that turns the +12v On/Off.

As Hunter450 pointed out, Your batteries are numbered wrong, battery #6 is the pack negative battery and should be on the back.

You wired your batteries like a Precedent, so it should be numbered like this:

Thanks Sergio and Hunter for the comments/direction.

Sorry for the confusion, I borrowed the picture to try and determine whether that was a factory buss bar, not actually my cart. My batteries are in fact wired correctly (1 on passenger side rear and 6 on driver side rear).

Makes sense on the trigger wire and likely a very stupid question, but what does the orange/tan wire get hooked up to? "Keyswitch" or "switch" is fairly vague. From what I've read, you don't actually hook up to the key/ignition b/c it doesn't supply the proper power.

Thanks again in advance

That trigger wire is a very low current circuit designed specifically to be a "trigger" signal.

The higher current +48v connection is the "Yellow" wire You connected directly to the battery.

Connect the "Orange" wire to the side of the key switch that only has power when the Key is ON, usually the side with the Blue wire.
