I was adding a new resistor and diode. Because of 48 volts... I think I found the problem .. blown inline fuse

I'm not familiar with that solenoid, but the diode is directional.

I think the diode is backwards, aren't the blue wires positive?

You can easily verify the polarity by putting your voltmeter on the two solenoid pins.

You need the new resistor and there is no reason not to use it.

Without the diode you may damage your Controller and/or pedal micro-switch.

I cannot think of any Series cart that has 2 negative wires on the Solenoid, but two positives are pretty common.

If the diode was backwards it would immediately blow the fuse when you pressed the pedal.
