Re: New diode and resistor no movement
I was adding a new resistor and diode. Because of 48 volts... I think I found the problem .. blown inline fuse

Re: New diode and resistor no movement
I'm not familiar with that solenoid, but the diode is directional.

Re: New diode and resistor no movement
So I replaced the fuse and it works .. count the new stuff as a loss and wait until something actually fails to replace it .. but thanks man for the imput

Re: New diode and resistor no movement
I think the diode is backwards, aren't the blue wires positive?

Re: New diode and resistor no movement
You can easily verify the polarity by putting your voltmeter on the two solenoid pins.
You need the new resistor and there is no reason not to use it. Without the diode you may damage your Controller and/or pedal micro-switch. I cannot think of any Series cart that has 2 negative wires on the Solenoid, but two positives are pretty common. If the diode was backwards it would immediately blow the fuse when you pressed the pedal. |
